Reading

There is such unrivaled pleasure in reading. Whenever I get my hands on a new book, there’s a magical sense that something might change for me: waiting in the crisp black and white pages is something empowering or mesmerizing.

I’ve never been in a book club, but I often wish I could make room or time for it, because there is something so devastating in stumbling across the perfectly written paragraph, a clever twist, a fascinating fact, a ridiculous argument, etc., and having no one to gasp at it with. Instead, I make notes in my margins, reread favorite paragraphs, and beg my friends to add the book to their reading list. I enjoy this, but it’s no comparison.

This is why I and other willing readers have decided to share what we’re reading now here. If you’ve read a book discussed in one of our articles, let us know your thoughts in the comments: Like it?
